Will jumping on a trampoline increase my high jump?

I play basketball and do the high jump in track. Will jumping on a trampoline (the big backyard ones) increase the height of my jump for these sports?|||Best way to increase your vertical jump is working on your calf muscles. Jumping on a trampoline can help, but you are better off using that time and energy on some other exercises if your goal is to increase your vertical jump.

the ones below can be helpful

http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/increaseverticaljump.html|||no i dont think so. i have a trampoline in my backyard, and after i jump on it, it feels wierd when i jump naturally from the ground. it feels like you're jumping lower than before. i dont think it would help anything except for maybe building up your leg muscles a little.|||Could because you're working the same muscles that you use when you jump.|||i've never jumped on a trampoline, so i don't really know, but i would guess yes, because it might help your legs.|||yes because it keeps your muscles moving.
