High jump?!?

i have a meet tomorrow and I need some high jump tips

if I clear two more inches i set a school record!

i already know how to high jump i just want some tips on how to be PERFECT

PLEASE AND THANX

all tips appreciated|||stretch. and ATTACK the bar!|||clear your mind and dont think about it cause if you do while your doing it youll definitely mess up|||first off stretch really good and get warmed up the looser your muscles are the higher u jump. Also make sure u count your steps off and try to jump in the middle of the bar. Also something I do is to think that if I clear it then on the other side of that victory is the hottestgirl ever. Trust me it works. Good luck|||I'm also in high jump. The best tips I've heard from my coaches was...

*When you run .. run at an angle like your going to jump on the side of the mat

*Lean back and pull your butt up as high as you can with your feet and legs the same way

*Pretend your pulling a rope to your stomach to lift your back easier

*AND look up at the sky pretend your flying or something..

Those are the best tips that help me all the time at meets

Thats how i win.. Good luck !!|||Make sure you run in a "J" shape. If you run in a "C" shape, no matter how high you arch, your feet will always hit the bar. When you run in a "J" shape, your back is parallel to the bar right before you jump.

Use your arms to get you up higher.

Try to look back at the mat to help you arch more.

Hold your arch long enough, then snap your legs in really hard.

Take long strides at the beginning, short sprints at the end.

Measure your starting point from the mat (with a measuring tape) and then measure how far out that measurement is from the standard. This will help you in away meets to start in the right place.

Stretch out well at the beginning- do backbends, flatbacks, and run throughs before actual high jumping.
