What is a good high jump height for a 8th grade girl?

For a eighth grader girl what is a good high jump height?|||i think that the first two answers are talking about pole vaulting cuz there is no possible way any one could jump 8.5 ft. but last year i was in eighth grade adn did high jump and my best was 4'6 which was the second best on the team! there was only one girl in the history of our school who cleared over 5 foot. so i would say that if is your first year then 4'4 wouls be a good start, but you've done it before 4'6or 4'8 is a grerat jump!!!|||haha no problem and WOW... 5 foot that is great!! the best girl in our conference could only jump 5 foot! keep working and you could be really good!!!!

|||wow i messed that up the first time i sumbitted it..

i'm a freshman and my vertical is 38''. That's about average for a 15yr old (i'm 5'5''.) last year, as an 8th grader my vertical was like 31''.

keep in mind that a vertical (how far your feet get off the ground) is different than someone mentioning what a player "jumps" (how high you can reach when you jump). I have no idea what i jump, and i'm too lazy to calculate it (adding my vertical, height, etc). A good high school player normally jumps somewhere around 9' %26amp; a good college player gets up above 10'.

hope that helps :]|||8.5 most likely. You might need a lot of practice to jump that high but, I think that 8.5 is a reasonable height to reach.|||totally depends on your height. You should aim to be in the 9' range by the time you get in high school. A good college player touches 10'-something.
